Bats in the Attic?

Trapstar has all the answers

IF A BAT HAS ENTERED YOUR LIVING OR WORKSPACE, PLEASE CALL US 24/7 FOR EMERGENCY REMOVAL! (470) 662-4711

Living with bats in your home or workspace can cause extensive damage, sanitation issues, and lead to serious health complications due to the build up of guano where the bats roost during the day. Over time the bats bring more individuals home to roost and so the pile-up of guano will continue to grow, where extremely dangerous molds and fungi will eventually develop and contaminate the air in your home. Bats are also vectors for zoonotic diseases and ectoparasites including rabies, histoplasmosis, bedbugs, batbugs, fleas, and ticks.

It is advised that you do not try to remove bats yourself, as they are federally protected in the USA and an important part of the ecosystem. Harassing, injuring, poisoning, or otherwise killing bats in the United States is punishable by law! As well, bat removal during the wrong season may result in a reduction of bat pups who rely on their mothers to survive! We need bats living healthily in the wild as they help control mosquito populations and other flying insects! That’s why you should leave it to the professionals!

At Trapstar Wildlife Solutions we have years of experience and knowledge of native bat species, their breeding periods, and how to safely and completely evict them from your home, never to return! With our bat removal service we will also remove any guano the bats have left, disinfecting the area, and killing any parasites left behind!

If you know or suspect you are living bats don’t delay! When you schedule with Trapstar we will perform a comprehensive inspection of your property, identifying your bats, their roost site, and the degree of damage caused by their inhabitation. We will also inspect any other wildlife or pest issues you may have. From there we begin the exclusion process! For bats, this entails sealing every possible entry point back into your home and attic, as bats are capable of squeezing through incredibly tight gaps! Once all construction gaps have been sealed, the eviction process can begin. This will usually involve sealing the main entry point and roost site of the bats, while leaving a slick exit they can leave through. When the bats return in the morning, they will find they can’t get back in anywhere! After this, your bat colony will relocate themselves on their own. Once your bats are all out, we seal up their exit and begin the cleanup process! We will remove any guano left behind, along with any contaminated insulation, before disinfecting the area and desiccating any fungi and parasites.

We guarantee our bat exclusion! If bats somehow enter again after our full bat removal service, we will remedy the problem free of charge!
